Sources close to former Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani have reported that he has recently departed the United Arab Emirates and relocated to Lebanon.
In his Eid message, Ghani mysteriously mentioned that his voice had been silenced for the past six months, during which he was completely restricted from speaking or giving interviews.
He initially fled to the UAE in August 2021 following the sudden collapse of the former Afghan government, where he had been living under political asylum status.
