The Defense Minister of Belarus has warned that ongoing border tensions between the Taliban administration and Pakistan could trigger new regional security threats. He shared these concerns during the Collective Security Treaty Organization meeting in Moscow.

Viktor Khrenin emphasized that the escalation of these clashes might lead to severe humanitarian crises and fresh waves of mass migration. He also cautioned that such instability creates an ideal environment for extremist ideologies and terrorist networks to expand.

Relations between Kabul and Islamabad have severely deteriorated in recent months due to accusations regarding the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. Frequent border skirmishes and Pakistani airstrikes inside Afghanistan have further deepened the divide, despite repeated denials from the Taliban regarding terrorist support.
