The Afghan national Wushu team, consisting of a seven-member delegation, has arrived in China to participate in the Asian championships. This prestigious sports event will be hosted in Hubei province from June twenty-fourth to the twenty-eighth.
The National Olympic and Physical Education Committee of Afghanistan announced that the team includes six talented Afghan athletes and one official supervisor. These skilled fighters are scheduled to compete against their international rivals in various weight categories ranging from fifty-three to eighty kilograms.
The main objective of organizing these competitions is to promote cultural exchanges in martial arts among the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Afghan athletes are highly motivated to bring home medals and pride.
