Civil society organizations marked the second anniversary of a legal initiative by Australia Canada Germany and Netherlands by urging concrete action against the Taliban for systematic violations of women rights in Afghanistan.
They highlighted worsening oppression through new decrees that institutionalize discrimination and called for formal arbitration at the International Court of Justice.
The groups stressed that despite risks women continue resistance through underground education networks while demanding transparency from the four governments.
