Sources told Amo that a former national security officer from the previous government was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Khost.
This former national security officer was named Commander Samad and was killed on Friday, September 25th in Khost.
Some sources have cited “family disputes” as the reason for killing this former military officer, but others say he was targeted by individuals affiliated with the Taliban group.
This comes while on Thursday night, September 24th, another former military officer named Faiz Mohammad was also shot dead by unknown gunmen in Baghlan.
Mysterious killings and targeting of former military personnel in the country have recently increased, and so far no person or group has claimed responsibility for these incidents.
The Taliban group has not commented on this matter so far.
