This arrest occurred in the middle of filming, creating serious financial difficulties for the film’s crew.
Sandeep Khosla explained that getting payment for their work became a nightmare after the producer’s arrest.
Despite these challenges, they managed to complete their work and even designed the “Dola Re” sequence at the last minute.
Fortunately, the film achieved global success and won a National Award.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had previously mentioned that people called the film jinxed and suggested shutting down production.
However, their patience and efforts paid off, and Devdas became one of Bollywood’s most beloved films, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai.
