Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry issued an unprecedented statement expressing hope that the Afghan people will be freed and governed by a truly representative democratic government.
This declaration came after deadly border clashes between Pakistani forces and the Taliban group on the nights of October 11-12.
Islamabad described the recent attacks as joint actions by the Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, and Baloch separatists, aimed at destabilizing the borders.
Pakistan emphasized that while exercising its right to self-defense, it not only repelled the attacks but also inflicted heavy casualties on the attacking forces.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry urged the Taliban to honor their commitments to prevent the use of Afghan soil against other countries.
