Amrullah Saleh, former Vice President of Afghanistan, responded to recent border clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan, stating that national mobilization for defending territory requires a constitution and National Council. He emphasized that until a legitimate system is established, any political force has the right to define threats.

Saleh added that the Taliban, using safe bases in Pakistan, killed ten thousand Afghans.

He said the Taliban’s nature should not be whitewashed with six mortar fires to create a new image.

The former Vice President declared that Taliban rule lacks legitimacy and Afghanistan is without a government.

These statements came following intense border fighting between the Taliban and Pakistan forces.
