Previously, six EU nations including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, and the Netherlands had urged the EU’s executive branch to intensify talks with the Afghan government to ensure continued deportations of refugees.

Germany had already expelled 81 Afghans before this recent meeting, calling itself the “locomotive” of the European immigration crackdown.
