Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump, did not rule out the possibility of running for president after his father’s term ends during an interview with Israel’s Channel 13.
When asked if he would ever run for president, he responded: “Never, never, never say never to anything,” referencing his recent book publication as an example of life’s unpredictability.
Trump’s son emphasized: “I think if I wanted to, I could do it, but we’ll have to see what happens.” These statements have strengthened speculation about the Trump family’s plans for America’s political future.
The comments come as the family continues to maintain significant influence within Republican politics.
Previously, Gavin Newsom, California’s Democratic governor, also announced he is considering a presidential candidacy for 2028, with a final decision to be made after the 2026 midterm elections.
This sets up potential competition for the next presidential race.
