Donald Trump, President of the United States, announced that American law prohibits him from running for a third presidential term.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to South Korea, he stated that if you read the law, it’s completely clear that he doesn’t have permission to run.

Trump emphasized that he has no intention of challenging this legal restriction, describing it as “too bad.” According to the U.S. Constitution, no person can serve more than two four-year terms as President.

These statements come after Trump had previously expressed his desire to run for president for a third time and even produced hats with “Trump 2028” printed on them.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution clearly limits presidential terms to two.
