Coinciding with Donald Trump’s trip to South Korea, North Korea conducted missile tests on Tuesday, launching several cruise missiles from its nuclear forces.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported that the missile launch took place from the western region of the country.
According to the Korean Central News Agency report, these cruise missiles, which have been improved for ship-based launches, were fired vertically and flew for more than 7,800 seconds along a predetermined path over the Yellow Sea to destroy their targets.
This test occurred while Trump, during his visit to South Korea, had expressed his desire to meet with Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader.
This action demonstrates the ongoing tensions in the region and North Korea’s continued military provocations.
