WWE fans spotted AJ Lee advertised for RAW at Madison Square Garden, but she was quickly replaced.
This change had three main reasons: First, Netflix may have accidentally spoiled her return as a surprise Second, WWE currently has no creative plans for AJ Lee, making this simply a technical error.
Third and most importantly, John Cena is conducting his retirement tour and November 17th will be his final match at Madison Square Garden.
WWE wants all attention focused on Cena’s farewell moment, not divided by AJ Lee return speculation who remains a fan favorite at 38, may have been included on the MSG lineup as nothing more than a promotional mistake.
By replacing her with the former World Champion, WWE ensures Cena’s final MSG appearance gets the spotlight it deserves.
