The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice announced on Saturday, October 31st, that 9 residential townships in Afghanistan have been registered as state property over the past three years.

These townships are located on more than 50,000 acres of land across four provinces.

The townships include Mullah Tara Khel, Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan, and Mullah Ezzat in Kabul, Khalid bin Walid township in Balkh, Shahrnaw in Maidan Wardak, Hakim Sanai and Nawabad in Ghazni, and Haji Qadir and Ishaq Gilani townships in Nangarhar province.

The Taliban group claims that besides these townships, they have also recovered approximately 4 million acres of other land from alleged usurpers.

These actions are carried out through the Commission for Prevention of Land Usurpation and Recovery of Usurped Lands established by the Taliban administration.
