Bakhtar News Agency, controlled by the Taliban group, reported on Saturday, November 15th that a “high-level Tajikistan delegation” has arrived in Kabul.
According to the report, representatives from Tajikistan’s foreign ministry and security agencies are part of this delegation, and Taliban and Tajikistan officials are expected to discuss Afghanistan’s embassy in Dushanbe.
According to Taliban-controlled media, the purpose of the Tajikistan delegation’s visit is to expand political, economic, and security relations.
Discussions about joint projects have been mentioned as another topic for meetings between Taliban and Tajikistan officials.
The Tajikistan delegation’s visit to Kabul comes while several officials from this country visited Kunduz province a few days ago and met with Taliban officials.
Tajikistan is among the Central Asian countries that has had the least diplomatic relations with the Taliban over the past four years.
