The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Qatar has upgraded its chargé d’affaires, Mirdaf Al-Qashouti, to the position of ambassador to Afghanistan.
The statement noted that Mr. Al-Qashouti presented his credentials as the new Qatari ambassador to Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting foreign minister of the Taliban.
This move marks an important step in diplomatic relations between Qatar and the Taliban, signaling strengthened official ties in Kabul.
