The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has firmly rejected accusations from Pakistan linking the recent Islamabad blast to Afghanistan, labeling the claims as “irresponsible.” A ministry spokesperson stated that Pakistan is attempting to distract from its own security failures by blaming its neighbor.

Enayatullah Khwarazmi urged Pakistani officials to change their approach and foster cooperation rather than shifting blame. This response follows allegations by Pakistan’s Defense Minister that the suicide bomber responsible for the deadly mosque attack had connections to Afghanistan.

Diplomatic friction between the two neighbors continues to simmer over security issues. While the Taliban insist they do not allow Afghan soil to be used for attacks, Pakistan frequently alleges that militants are finding safe haven across the border, complicating regional relations.
