The Meteorology Department has issued a significant weather alert predicting snowfall and rain across 27 provinces of Afghanistan. This weather system is expected to impact the country today and tomorrow, covering major areas including Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, and Kandahar.

Forecasts indicate rainfall ranging from 10 to 40 millimeters and snowfall up to 50 centimeters in colder regions. Additionally, strong winds with speeds reaching between 50 to 100 kilometers per hour are expected to sweep through the northwestern, western, and central provinces.

Authorities have also warned of potential flash floods in warmer regions due to the heavy precipitation. Residents in affected areas are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on weather conditions, as the severe weather may cause travel disruptions and safety hazards.
