Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has announced that at least six Afghan journalists have been forcibly deported from Pakistan back to Afghanistan over the last two weeks.
The media advocacy organization stated that nine Afghan journalists have been deported since January, with dozens more arrested. Pakistani police have launched widespread operations against refugees, creating immense fear among exiled reporters and their families.
Expressing deep concern over the deteriorating situation, RSF strongly urged the Pakistani government to immediately halt the arrest and deportation of vulnerable journalists who fled severe restrictions imposed by the Taliban.
