In a statement, he emphasized the importance of preventing escalation and returning parties to the negotiating table.
According to China's special envoy, cooperation toward promoting peace, security, and development in the region was a main focus of these discussions. This comes as Pakistani military forces bombed parts of Kabul, Paktia, Paktika, and Kandahar again Friday night.
UNAMA previously reported that 4 civilians were killed and 14 wounded in Pakistani airstrikes in eastern Kabul Friday night.
