Yue Xiaoyong, China's Special Envoy for Afghanistan, said he has held talks with several Pakistani officials, including Muhammad Sadiq, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, about recent border clashes over the past two days. In a statement, he emphasized the importance of preventing escalation and returning parties to the negotiating table.

According to China's special envoy, cooperation toward promoting peace, security, and development in the region was a main focus of these discussions. This comes as Pakistani military forces bombed parts of Kabul, Paktia, Paktika, and Kandahar again Friday night.

UNAMA previously reported that 4 civilians were killed and 14 wounded in Pakistani airstrikes in eastern Kabul Friday night. According to the agency, at least 75 civilians have been killed and 193 wounded in airstrikes and border clashes since February 26. #Afghanistan #Pakistan #China #Border\_Clashes
