Pakistan's Ministry of Information on Friday rejected Taliban officials' claims of temporary ceasefire violations during Eid al-Fitr, calling them "incorrect" and "baseless." The ministry said in a statement on X that no violations occurred along the country's western borders. The statement said no violation of the temporary cessation of operations occurred and all these claims are completely incorrect.

This comes as the Taliban's Ministry of Defense said Pakistan violated the ceasefire on the first day of Eid, which was celebrated in Afghanistan on Thursday. Pakistan's Ministry of Information also suggested these claims may stem from internal disputes among the Taliban.

The ministry warned that any cross-border attack, armed group activity, or drone strike would immediately end this temporary pause and resume military operations known as "Ghazab-ul-Haq." Pakistan launched these operations on February 26, following what it called cross-border shelling by Taliban forces. #Pakistan #Taliban #Ceasefire #Eid\_al\_Fitr
