The head of Uzbekistan's Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency visited Kabul and stated that registering medicines in Afghanistan is very challenging. He requested the Taliban government authorities to significantly simplify and shorten this lengthy process to facilitate better bilateral trade.
During their meeting with the Taliban government's food and drug administration, the Uzbek delegation discussed expanding medical cooperation and boosting pharmaceutical exports. They also proposed establishing a permanent exhibition in Kabul to showcase various medicines manufactured in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is actively trying to increase its pharmaceutical exports to neighboring Afghanistan. Previously, Uzbek officials had announced the launch of a massive medical project aimed at producing and exporting fifty million dollars worth of medicines specifically for the Afghan market.
