Several female teachers in Afghanistan state that forced relocations and significant salary cuts have compelled many to abandon their teaching jobs. The Taliban government has transferred these women to remote schools located very far from their residential areas.

The teachers complain that despite receiving extremely low salaries, they must now spend heavily on daily transportation costs. Many of these women, who are the primary breadwinners for their families, face severe economic hardships due to prolonged delays in receiving their wages.

Women's rights activists condemn these actions by the Taliban government as a systematic policy to restrict women. Previously, salaries for female teachers of higher grades were drastically reduced and suspended, deeply increasing the immense pressure on their lives.
