Local authorities of the Taliban government in Parwan province have sadly confirmed that at least eight people died instantly after the roof of a local residential house collapsed suddenly in the Syahgard district.

This truly heartbreaking incident occurred late last night directly due to unusually heavy rains battering Baghandak village. The innocent victims of this sudden natural disaster unfortunately include women and children, while one other person miraculously survived but sustained severe injuries.

Severe torrential rains and massive flash floods in recent days have caused enormous human and financial losses across various Afghan provinces. Official statistics indicate that dozens of residential houses have been completely flattened or partially destroyed due to the extreme weather conditions.
