Abdullah, originally from Kandahar, was separated from his family about four decades ago during a trip to Pakistan, completely losing contact with them. After years of living in isolation from his loved ones, he finally returned to his homeland yesterday.
With the assistance of relatives and friends, his family reunification was facilitated through the police forces of the Taliban government. The Kandahar police spokesperson confirmed that the man had been missing since the Soviet occupation era and is finally home.
