Nooruddin Azizi, the commerce minister of the Taliban government, has traveled to Uzbekistan to participate in a major international industrial exhibition. The event, held in Tashkent, provides a platform to showcase various Afghan products alongside goods from other regional countries.
Approximately sixty Afghan companies are participating in the exhibition, presenting items such as coal, cotton, and agricultural products. The primary goal of this gathering is to foster industrial development and enhance investment cooperation between Central Asian nations and Afghanistan.
This visit occurs amidst recent trade route closures with Pakistan, which have significantly disrupted supply chains. Consequently, food prices have surged in local markets, a concern that has been highlighted by recent World Food Programme reports.
