Statistics from the disaster management authority indicate that the death toll from recent floods and heavy rains in Afghanistan has reached 214. In just the past 24 hours, fourteen people have lost their lives due to these devastating floods.

The authority reported that eleven others are still missing and over 300 people have been injured. These natural disasters have caused heavy casualties across various provinces, including Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Ghor, and Badakhshan.

As a result of these floods, at least 50 houses have been completely destroyed, and more than 110 livestock have perished. Due to weak infrastructure, Afghanistan has always been highly vulnerable to such seasonal natural disasters.
