The European Union has announced the allocation of 175,000 euros in humanitarian aid to support families affected by recent severe floods in Afghanistan. This vital financial assistance is estimated to be worth over 13 million Afghanis.

This funding is expected to cover approximately 12,000 vulnerable individuals across eight provinces, including Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, and Ghor. The assistance will include direct cash aid, tents, blankets, and the distribution of essential hygiene kits.

The European Union emphasized that it remains one of the largest humanitarian donors to Afghanistan. These targeted contributions aim to save lives, alleviate human suffering, and protect the dignity of those impacted by natural disasters.
