The procurement commission of the Taliban government announced the official approval of nineteen major development projects valued at nearly three billion afghanis. This significant economic decision was finalized during a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

These newly authorized initiatives cover various essential sectors, including telecommunications equipment upgrades, extensive road construction, and vital electricity supply systems. According to official reports, the funding for all these critical infrastructure plans will be exclusively provided by internal administrative budgets.

Despite these announcements, the Afghan economy remains extremely fragile, with severe poverty heavily impacting communities across every province. Furthermore, independent monitoring organizations have raised serious concerns regarding the lack of transparency throughout the lucrative contract bidding and awarding processes.
