The United Arab Emirates defense ministry announced that its air defense systems successfully engaged and intercepted multiple airborne threats. Officials confirmed that four cruise missiles fired from Iranian territory toward the UAE were detected and neutralized mid-air.
According to the military statement, three of the missiles were destroyed over UAE territorial waters, while the fourth safely crashed into the sea. Authorities explained that the loud explosions heard by residents were simply the result of these successful defensive interception operations.
Following the missile incident, a separate drone strike reportedly caused a fire in the vital oil-producing industrial zone of Fujairah. Security forces have now been placed on high alert and protective measures around sensitive national infrastructure have increased significantly.
