The International Organization for Migration announced that recent severe floods caused by heavy rains in Nangarhar province have affected approximately two thousand families.
The organization added that the floods have damaged residential houses and people's belongings. They are currently assessing the critical needs and distributing relief packages to support the victims.
On Sunday, lightning and severe storms in this province killed two people and injured three others. Natural disasters have recently claimed dozens of lives across the country.
