The Taliban government police command has officially confirmed that a severe lightning strike in Nuristan province resulted in the tragic death of a local woman.
The police spokesperson stated that the terrifying incident took place in the Want district. Two other individuals, including a young seven-year-old child and a man, were seriously injured during the event.
Local authorities mentioned that all the victims belonged to the same family. Recent natural disasters have caused significant human and material losses across various regions of the country.
