The Interior Ministry of the Afghan government announced the distribution of over 2,000 motorcycles and fast cars to its police forces. This initiative aims to better equip and strengthen the operational capabilities of local security personnel across various departments.
The ministry's spokesperson detailed that 2,000 motorcycles were specifically allocated to the security police. Additionally, 100 vehicles were given to the Kabul police headquarters, while dozens of others were distributed to the fire and traffic departments.
This move to enhance police equipment comes at a critical time. Recently, numerous reports have highlighted a concerning rise in security incidents, including targeted killings, across Kabul and several other provinces in the country.
