The Afghanistan national Under-20 football team played to a scoreless draw against Kyrgyzstan in their final match of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship. The competitive match took place yesterday afternoon in Dushanbe.
This fixture marked the last appearance for the Afghan youth team in the current regional tournament. Unfortunately, the national squad faced consecutive defeats in their previous three matches, struggling to secure a win against strong regional opponents.
The CAFA Championship, featuring top youth teams from across Central Asia, began last week and will continue until the end of the month. Prior to this draw, the Afghan team had competed against Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan in the group stages.
