The 313th Central Corps of the Taliban government in Kabul has announced the recovery of one car and a body from the Sarubi River. The vehicle was one of two that went missing in the area recently.

Last week, two vehicles, a Fielder and an Aqua, veered off the road and plunged into the river along the Kabul-Jalalabad highway. The cars were carrying eight passengers, including two men, two women, and four children.

The Fielder and the body of a woman have been found, but the second car and the remaining passengers are still missing. Afghan citizens blame poor road conditions and reckless driving for the recent surge in fatal traffic accidents across the country.
