Officials from the Ministry of Investment of Uzbekistan announced that the preparation of the economic and technical feasibility plan for the Afghan-Trans corridor has entered an active phase. This critical process is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Speaking at the Termez Dialogue, Shokhrukh Gulyamov stated that field surveys for this major connectivity project have already begun. He has set a strict deadline for his team to provide exact figures to the involved governments soon.
The Uzbek official described the transit corridor as a historic regional project that will seamlessly connect Central and South Asia. He also suggested that this transportation route could eventually expand into a widespread network inside Afghanistan.
