Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban government, has strongly rejected the recent claims made by Pakistan's interior minister regarding the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan. He dismissed these serious allegations as mere baseless propaganda and a repetition of outdated accusations, emphasizing strict border security.
In a recently released audio message, the spokesperson reiterated that they will absolutely never allow Afghan soil to be used to threaten the security of other nations. Previously, Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had controversially claimed during a regional security meeting that active terrorist camps currently exist inside Afghanistan.
Over recent years, Pakistan has repeatedly accused Afghan authorities of providing safe havens for various armed militant groups. Nevertheless, the United Nations and several neighboring countries have also expressed genuine concerns about the active presence of thousands of foreign fighters and groups like ISIS operating within Afghan territory.
