Local officials in Laghman province reported that at least four people died and ten remain missing after a vehicle carrying returning migrants plunged into a deep river. The tragic accident occurred late at night.
The fatal incident took place along the dangerous Kabul to Jalalabad highway. Rescue teams have recovered four bodies so far and successfully pulled eight injured individuals from the fast-flowing water during their search operations.
