These extremely intense and heavily armed confrontations have unfortunately occurred between government forces and opposition groups over the course of the past four days.
Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during a highly important and widely covered press conference, strongly accused the Taliban government of blatantly providing extensive financial and logistical support to armed groups actively opposing the Pakistani state. He firmly claimed that highly secure safe havens exist for these dangerous fighters inside Afghan territory, where they are being continuously trained and equipped.
Officials of the Taliban government have consistently and vehemently dismissed such serious allegations as completely baseless, strongly stating that Afghan soil will never be used against any neighboring country.
