Over the past week, from July sixth to twelfth, twenty six people lost their lives in severe traffic accidents across eight provinces in Afghanistan. Reports indicate that at least eighty six others were injured in these tragic incidents.
The deadly accidents occurred mainly in provinces such as Zabul, Helmand, Nangarhar, and Ghazni. The primary cause of these crashes was the overturning of passenger vehicles on major highways, affecting many families, including women and children.
The unprecedented rise in traffic accidents in recent months has become a serious concern. Since the beginning of the solar year, over a hundred incidents have left dozens dead and hundreds more hospitalized.
