Organized at the University of Peshawar, the main objective of this assembly is to propose viable solutions for reducing border tensions. Recent escalations and violence have disproportionately affected the vulnerable communities living along the border areas.
Organizers believe that grassroots diplomacy is crucial for rebuilding trust between the two sides. Furthermore, several former officials at the event criticized Pakistan's recent harsh policies regarding the forced expulsion of Afghan refugees.
