Credible sources confirmed that security forces of the Taliban government recently raided the office of the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation in Kabul, effectively halting the organization's operations.
During the raid, six staff members of this civil society organization were arrested. Their current whereabouts and conditions remain unknown, while security forces also confiscated the office's vital documents and work equipment.
Led by Zarqa Yaftali, the foundation actively worked on education, advocacy, and research regarding women and children. Yaftali, an international award winner, has not commented, and the Taliban have remained completely silent on the incident.
