Taliban government officials in Nimroz province have confirmed the tragic assassination of Abdul Khaliq Noorzai, a prominent tribal elder, along with his nephew. This deadly shooting occurred on Monday in the busy streets of Zaranj city.
During the violent assault, two other individuals also sustained severe injuries. Photographs from the crime scene reveal that their vehicle was struck by more than twenty bullets in a direct frontal attack by unknown gunmen.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident, and the exact motives remain totally unknown at this time. The Taliban government police have initiated a full investigation in hopes of tracking down the perpetrators behind this brutal ambush.
