Local officials in Nuristan report that recent flash floods in Mandol district have caused extensive property damage. Yesterday, several areas across the district experienced severe flooding.
According to local sources, the floods destroyed six residential houses, tens of hectares of agricultural land, roads, irrigation canals, and small dams, disrupting basic infrastructure.
This incident comes just two weeks after devastating and deadly floods struck Parun, the provincial capital of Nuristan, leaving severe casualties and financial losses.
