A traffic accident in the Hussain Khel area of Puli Khumri, the capital of Baghlan province, killed three people, including a woman and a child.
Police officials confirmed that five others were injured when two high-speed passenger vehicles collided. The wounded were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Recent data shows that between July 6 and July 12 alone, road accidents across Afghanistan claimed 26 lives and left at least 86 people injured.
