Indian media also reported that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized to Indian officials over shortcomings in managing harmful content, including child sexual abuse material and deepfake videos. The Indian government ordered Meta to remove child exploitation-related content from Instagram, and Meta said it has strengthened its monitoring systems.
