Sources in Parwan report that the Taliban has detained six civilians, including two former police officers, from Salang district. The two former officers are identified as Rais Agha Salangi and Nasrullah, who served in the police during the republic era.
The other four detainees — Sharif, Mohammad Agha, Mirwais, and Sohrab — are students. They were arrested six days ago from the village of "Lalma Sabzak" in Salang district and are currently held at the Taliban's counter-terrorism directorate in Charikar.
Their families have received no information about their condition. The Taliban has accused them of attacking one of its outposts, but sources insist the detainees are civilians with no links to anti-Taliban groups.
