Taliban forces arrested a local singer named Syed Ghafar Agha in District 315 in northern Kabul. Three sources, including a close friend of the singer, confirmed the arrest to Amu. He was detained after posting a video mourning Hasib Panjshiri, a commander of the National Resistance Front.
Sources say four other individuals were also arrested the previous day but were released today. The arrest of Syed Ghafar Agha has once again raised serious concerns about freedom of expression and cultural activity in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
