Abomuslim Farah Wins Afghan Champions League Season Four
Abomuslim Farah emerged as the champion of the fourth season of the Afghan Football Champions League. Today, Tuesday, January 8, 2025, two matches were held at the central stadium in Herat. Khurasan Faryab defeated Adalat Farah 3-2, and Atak Energy Herat beat Esteghlal Kabul 6-0. With these results, Abomuslim Farah clinched the championship.
In the fourth season, twelve teams competed, with the championship race between Abomuslim Farah, Atak Energy, and Sorkhposhan Khawafi Herat. Ultimately, the star-studded Abomuslim team, benefiting from Afghan national team players and foreign players, managed to win the championship with a better goal difference compared to Atak Energy.
Khadem FC Sar-e Pol and Adalat Farah, finishing at the bottom of the standings, were relegated to provincial leagues. One of the notable side stories of this season was the withdrawal of Khadem FC in the final weeks of the competition. Khadem FC left the tournament in protest of the hosting conditions in Herat and their own poor financial situation.
