Two heavyweight Alysh wrestlers and an assistant coach of Afghanistan's national team departed for Kyrgyzstan today, Saturday, to compete in the 6th World Nomad Games. They will compete in the freestyle weight category.
The 6th World Nomad Games will be held from September 1 to 7, 2026, in Bishkek and around Lake Issyk-Kul. Around 3,000 athletes from 100 countries will compete across 43 sports disciplines.
Afghanistan previously won two silver medals in Alysh wrestling at the 4th edition of the games held in Bursa, Turkey in 2024. The Afghan athletes are once again aiming to bring honor and medals to their country.
